Tori vaccher

A set and prop design student in XU's theatre production program, Tori started “veganizing” her family recipes after changing her own diet. She enjoyed the process so much that she decided to pursue baking professionally. Tori more thoroughly learning the trade through George Brown before putting in her time at other local bakeries, while also taking business courses at George Brown and Bonnie Gordon. She opened the city's first plant-based cafe in the Beach/es neighbourhood of Toronto in March 2012 after extensive renovation of the space at 2188 Queen St. East.

Our Ollie

When not baking, you can find Tori playing outside with her Boston Terrier (and Bakeshop mascot) Ollie, often sipping an americano with a splash of oat milk.
