We opened our plant-based, ecologically vegan space March 9, 2012 on Queen Street East in the Beach/es neighbourhood of Toronto. Since then we've become well known for our organic goods baked fresh daily, free of all animal products and byproducts, refined sugar, and also often free of wheat and gluten.

We offer seating at our flagship location where you can come by and choose from a number of our items on our counter, espresso and tea-based bevvies, smoothies, and even wine, beer, and cider.

You can also place a special order online with at least 48 hours notice and have it ready for pickup at the Bakeshop, or delivered to any address in the GTA. We also wholesale across the city; click "find us" to see where!

Tori vaccher

A set and prop design student in XU's theatre production program, Tori started “veganizing” her family recipes after changing her own diet. She enjoyed the process so much that she decided to pursue baking professionally. Tori more thoroughly learned the trade through George Brown while working at other local bakeries. She opened the city's first plant-based cafe after extensive renovations at 2188 Queen St. East.

Our Ollie

When not baking, you can find Tori playing outside with her Boston Terrier (and Bakeshop mascot) Ollie, often sipping an americano with a splash of oat milk.
